| This view is of the Kato side frames on the former ATSF/BNSF GP35U #2598. The details shown depicts a Hytte bearing casing that has been drilled out to fit a Timkin bearing. A Details West bearing cap was used. This practice is very common on CSX units of all types. Also a better look at the Athern brake rigging placed in the side frames to replicate rebuilt side frames common to many BB configured units now a days. |
