A68/NS 3218
The NS local has come to a stop at the dimond with CSX's A&WP Sub and the conductor calls the CSX CN dispatcher for permision to cross. This former Central of Geogia line that once was the main line from Chattoanooga to Macon via Griffin Ga is now nothing more than a stub end branch south of the Georgia Power plants Wansley and Yates which are in Whitesburg Ga on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. This NS local job ran as needed out of Cedartown Ga. The end of track is in Senoia where the two cars in tow are destined to. South of Wansley Jct. The line was 10mph for the 30 or so miles to Senoia. The A&WP/CofG depot stood just to the right of this photo and was regular stop for the Central of Georgia's Man'O War and a flag stop for the Cresent which ran on the A&WP.
