Q679 is seen running south over the NS between Jones Ave. in downtown Atlanta and East Point. CSX and NS share the trackage between these two points. The train is passing through East Point and by the former Central of Georgia's Industry Yd which is a flat switching yard. All traffic that went to and from the Ford Motor Plant which was in Hapeville was handeled through here on NS. The A&WP Sub splits of one mile south off here and heads for points south. The tracks with third rail to the left is MARTA (Metropolitian Atlanta Rapid Transit Athority) tracks. |
